Bouncing around on London Flip Out Trampolines

London Flip Out Trampolines

I usually enjoy spending my Sunday afternoons chilling and relaxing on the couch. But recently I had the opportunity to spend an afternoon doing something very different… I brought out my inner child jumping on trampolines! 🙂 The London branch of Flip Out opened earlier this year in Wandsworth. Flip Out is the UK’s leading trampoline operator with indoor venues all over the country filled with 100s of interconnected trampolines.

The idea was born in Sydney back in 2012 when the CEO Brent Grundy was sitting in a play centre waiting for a kid’s party to finish. He noticed the venue was also filled with kids that were too big to enjoy the facilities and plenty of adults that were waiting around. This gave him the inspiration for Flip Out – to create an environment where both adults and children could be entertained.

I was quite surprised at what a good workout trampolining is. I haven’t done anything like this for donkey years! The exhilarating feeling of bouncing up and down on a trampoline while listening to music can get addictive. Plus the adrenaline rush too 🙂 I needed to take a break every so often just to catch my breath. Apparently an hour of trampolining can burn 1000 calories! The following day I was amazed at how stiff and sore I was from my trampolining experience.

Check out the Flip Out website for all the locations around the UK. I would recommend booking online where you can choose the date and time you’d like to attend and can sign your waiver too. This saves time at the venue when checking in. For an hour session, it costs £12. It’s not badly priced in my opinion when a single session at most fitness studios can easily start from £20.

So if you’re looking for something different and fun to do, then visit Flip Out. PS. It’s also a great place to take your kids to work off all that excess energy too 😉

Yes, sometimes when you’re too busy “adulting” you can forget what it’s like to be like a child again 😉

This is a definite must! Me and my inner child are very excited to try this out! I saw a snap chat (Nick Hamman – 5FM DJ) doing this too, so its already found its way to South Africa.

They seem to be absolutely everywhere don’t they? And what a good idea to have whilst waiting around. I need an idea like that 😄

I have to admit I didn’t actually know about this place. I only found out about it because of a kids birthday party! 😉

There were definitely more kids than adults bouncing on the day I was there but that doesn’t mean adults shouldn’t try too! 🙂

I love going trampolining with my kids! Some of the parents like to watch their kids having fun but I like getting stuck in and bouncing too! Fantastic places and great for a rainy day. #citytripping

What a great idea! Looks like so much fun although I think after a whole hour of trampolining I’d be exhausted let alone my daughter! A very reasonable price too. Will have to check it out. Thanks for sharing on #citytripping

It was quite tiring hence why I had to stop to catch my breath every now and then lol!

That looks like fun. Reminds me of the recent Buster the Boxer, the John Lewis christmas advert.. have you seen it? If not, I am sure you will love it 🙂

We have trampoline park here in Singapore near my home – my boys LOVE it there! It’s mad tiring for me (though somehow my boys never seem to get tired) and definitely a good workout. #CityTripping

Oh wow! That looks fantastic. It would be especially good here during the cold winter months when all we see is snow, snow and more snow. Great to get out and get rid of that excess energy!! I’m sure you all had a ball. Thank you for sharing with #globalblogging.
