The time has come to share my last blog post for 2016. It’s really been a roller coaster year for many people including me in some ways. Some have even mentioned this year as being renowned for the “curse of 2016”. I think about the ups and downs everyone has had, the loved ones that we’ve lost and the unbelievable amount of legendary celebrities that have passed on too. In an attempt to end this blog post on a positive note, I shall leave you with a round up of my year with the posts I have shared with you.
In terms of personal achievements this year, I have managed to achieve a lot. There have also been many new experiences. It was a little hard to choose but I’ve narrowed it down to 5.
5 Favourite London Experiences of 2016
- Champagne tasting at The Gherkin
- Wimbledon Fever
- Horseracing at Royal Ascot
- First Visit to Kew Gardens
- 12Km London Yule Jog
Top Places I visited in 2016
For my first year of blogging I am very proud of how my blog has grown. I would also like to take this opportunity to say thank you again to my readers and supporters for reading, commenting, sharing, liking and following my blog. My blog would not be where it is without you. It’s also interesting to see that my top blog posts were all expat related posts.
Top 5 Most Read Blog Posts for 2016
- Moving to London
- Mental prep for moving to the UK
- Interesting Facts about South Africa
- Buying your first home in the UK
- Seriously simplifying Schengen
If you haven’t read some of the posts I’ve mentioned here today grab a cup of coffee (or tea) and have a read 🙂
I hope you will continue to follow me into the new year. I am also approaching my first blogversary on the 11th of January so I have something very exciting lined up for my readers. Watch this space!
I saw this on Facebook and thought it would be worth sharing.
If you want 2017 to be your year:
Don’t sit on the couch and wait
for it. Go out. Make a change.
Smile more. Be excited. Do new
things. Throw away what you’ve been
cluttering. Unfollow negative people
on social media. Go to bed early.
Wake up early. Be fierce.
Don’t gossip. Show more gratitude.
Do things that challenge you.
Be brave.
I’d like to conclude by wishing you a very Happy New Year! May 2017 be even better than 2016 and may you and your family be blessed with much love, success and happiness.
all the best in 2017!
